“Sound of Silver” is the second studio album by American rock band LCD Soundsystem.

Background of the Production
LCD Soundsystem was formed in 2002 in New York City by James Murphy, one of the co-founders of DFA Records. Their debut single released in the same year, “Losing My Edge” peaked at number 115 on the UK Singles Chart.
In 2005, they released their debut album “LCD Soundsystem” and the single “Daft Punk Is Playing at My House”, which peaked at number 29 on the UK chart.
Commentary
The album “Sound of Silver” was recorded in 2006 at Long View Farm in North Brookfield, Massachusetts and DFA Studios in New York City.
It was released jointly by DFA and Capitol Records in the United States, and by EMI internationally in 2007. It peaked at number 46 on the US Billboard 200 and number 28 on the UK albums chart.
The debut album features an energetic sound based on club music, which is blending dance-punk and indie rock, while this album is characterized by its melodic and emotional sound in a more polished style, which is strongly influenced by minimal techno and synth-pop.
“Get Innocuous!” is a track based on a minimal, repetitive beat.
